NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GETS K & N SUPPORT
K & N Engineering
K & N Engineering, Inc. of Riverside, Calif., the title sponsor of USAC’s K & N Silver Crown Championship Series, has extended their involvement to include accessory postings for the November 27 USAC Ford Focus National Championship race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Calif.
The first 15 car entrants from outside the Pacific Time Zone will receive a case of K & N Oil Filters, while the Fast Qualifier and Hard Charger in the 40-lap race will receive K & N Air Filters. The 10th and 15th-place finishers also will receive K & N Intake Kits. The Hard Charger will be determined based on position improvement from start to finish.
“We’re delighted to augment our association with USAC with these postings,” said K & N Representative Charles Maier of Hayward, Calif., a Ford Focus driver and entrant himself. “USAC has always offered the finest in motorsports competition and I expect the November 27 National Championship race to be hotly-contested.”
Drivers and teams from across America are invited to participate in the final 2008 event to crown the National Champion, who will have his name emblazoned on the Henry Ford Sweepstakes perpetual trophy.
“It’s an exciting event for all of us,” echoed USAC Director-Developmental Series James Spink. “The Ford Focus concept has expanded across the country and we look forward to the crowning of our new National Champion at Irwindale and the distribution of these special awards.”
